It’s been a little over 2 years since my last blog post for Schmidtyq.com. Those of you who follow me on Instagram know that I’ve maybe been grilling more than ever in the last couple of months.

2 years ago I moved across the country leaving Chicago, IL — the place of my birth and where I was raised. I took a job in Los Angeles, CA and packed everything up including the Big Green Egg XL, my dog Franklin Delano Roosevelt and my loving wife Rachel.
